- Preserving the heritage of hunting with dogs in the Commonwealth of Virginia through public education and legal defense
- Advancing opportunities to hunt with dogs as an important tool of wildlife conservation
- Promoting wildlife conservation
- Educating the public about the foregoing through public information programs
